We spoke with Miriam, Director at RORA, about how they’re using Kinfolk to improve onboarding and learning for both.
Miriam explains:
“We had a disjointed onboarding process. Internally we were using a tool to manage our tasks while it was a completely separate process for the new joiner. We’d scramble to get everything set up, and there was a lot of, 'Oh, have you done this?'. There were a lot of hours wasted on checking things and scrolling through people’s calendars. We didn’t have visibility.
The new hire would get a bunch of tasks in one tool, their L&D was in another tool, and info was also scattered around our wiki. We’d get a lot of questions like, 'Where do I find this?'. It’s not a welcoming process if onboarding is so task-led and messy.
With every other tool, engagement is something we struggled with, because they just do either one specific thing quite well or they're just so overly complicated.”
